For Those Interested in Treatment,

Because of my licensure, I am to provide patient treatment to those living in one of those states, or who are able to travel to Florida, Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio for their video appointments. Nonpatient Consultations are available to anyone in any state or country.

This is a tele-health practice, meaning my treatment appointments are by video and not in a physical office setting. 

Treatment Process & Fees

​Prior to the evaluation, I review questionnaires that are completed online (within a secure portal).
Evaluation appointments are typically:

• 60-90 minutes  ($500-$750 minutes). The amount of time needed can depend on the level of complexity and how many treatment steps are being started (and if a non-patient consultation took place prior to the appointment)
• First follow-up appointments: 45-60 min ($375-$500)
• Typical follow-up appointments: - 45 min ($375)

Frequency of appointments vary with an average of every 8 weeks, often starting monthly, but then decrease in frequency as symptoms improve.

Insurance

I'm not on any insurance plans, though I can provide a receipt for reimbursement (if your insurance covers out of network physicians). Insurance companies vary as to whether they will reimburse for out of network treatment.  Though Medicare will cover most labs, it does not cover out of network physicians and reimbursement is not possible.

Regarding Medication

Though I am a licensed physician and thus able to prescribe psychotropic medication, that is not the focus of my continuing medical education or practice.  Because of this, I do not prescribe or  manage psychiatric medications.  I am not opposed to patients being on psychiatric medication, especially if the medication is relieving suffering, helping ensure safety, and/or allowing someone to address the root causes of their symptoms. The treatments that I provide should not interfere with medication.   There are times that I do prescribe other types of medication, for example,, when treating candida, mold colonization, mast cell activation, etc.

Labs & Supplements

​Although I am not on insurance panels, the blood work I order is typically covered by insurance (to the extent that one's labs are normally covered by their insurance). If I recommend any specialty testing, not covered by insurance, I will inform you of the fee, so that we can determine together whether or not to do the test. You do not pay me for the test, but instead pay the lab directly (or a platform that discounts the lab fees). 
I do  not have any financial relationship with laboratories, supplement companies, nor do I sell supplements.  This means, when I recommend labs or supplements, I am not receiving any compensation. If I do provide you with a code to order a supplement, I have arranged for my full discount to be extended to you, and do not receive compensation when you purchase that supplement.

• allows patients who do not have access to a holistic/functional medicine psychiatrist to receive treatment.
• allows patients (or their family members) to stay in the comfort of their own home, without having to take time to drive anywhere, or take time off from work. 
• allows patients to have family members (in other locations) join sessions.​

The technology that is used is secure and complies with HIPPA requirements.
