Before scheduling a consultation using the calendar on the bottom of this page, please review the information on this page.
I am able to provide a non-patient consultation to anyone in any state or country.
I am licensed in (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio & Florida) and able to provide subsequent treatmentto those who live in or can travel to one of those states.
Who Might Consider a Non-Patient Phone Consultation?
Those who would like me to review their (or their child's) labs in the context of their symptoms, timeline and current treatment and comment on seeming root causes.
Those who have not fully benefited from or tolerated previous conventional psychiatric treatment or functional medicine treatment. They may feel something is being missed.
Those interested in resources specific to their situation, such as labs that they may order on their own (or discuss with their doctor). Because these non-patient phone consultations do not involve a comprehensive treatment evaluation,I am unable to order labs, prescribe medication or give a detailed treatment plan.
AND/OR
Those interested in possible treatment and who live in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida or Ohio, or who are able to travel to one of those states for their tele-health (video) appointments. At this time, I am not scheduling treatment appointments, without a prior nonpatient consultation. This allows us both to consider if this type of treatment will be a good fit. It also allows me to collect information, review any previous labs, and provide education about likely root causes, which may shorten the time needed for the initial evaluation. If treatment is deemed appropriate, some choose to start completing relevant lab tests (that they order on their own or discuss with their doctor) so that results are available at the time of their patient treatment evaluation.
Medication: Though I am a licensed physician and not opposed to psychiatric medications, that is not the focus of my practice or continuing education. As a result, I do not prescribe psychiatric medications. I do prescribe compounded nutrient therapy, other medication, such as for mast cell stabilization, mold toxicity, candida, and other medical issues driving brain related symptoms.
Once the consultation is purchased and scheduled... I will invite you to share any other information you would like me to review prior to your consultation, such as goals, a 1-2 page timeline, current medications, supplements, and relevant labs. This is optional and not required for the consultation. Children If the phone consultation is regarding a child under the age of 18, they do not need to be present for the call unless that is your preference. If a treatment evaluation is scheduled after the consultation, your child would need to be present for part of the appointment, which would be by video.
If you are interested in a phone consultation with Dr. Snyder, please know that medico-legally she cannot diagnose or treat anyone unless there is a face-to-face meeting via video conferencing, or an in person office visit (not currently available) that includes a complete history and examination. She cannot prescribe any medications or supplements unless you are an established patient. The phone consultations offered here are intended for educational and informational purposes only. Many of the illnesses and symptoms with which her patients struggle are highly controversial. Information provided in these consultations represent only her most current clinical experience and knowledge. What she can do is review your current medical experiences, symptoms, laboratory results and treatments and suggest areas that may not have been adequately explored or investigated completely. Know that a specific diagnosis or treatment cannot be provided. Nor can she assure you that the information she shares will be of direct help to your personal situation (for which she will have limited knowledge). Always seek the advice of your physician before making any treatment decisions.
